Carpets inspired by nature.
For us, Lake Como has always been a great source of inspiration and an escape from the buzz of Milano. A place gently wet by water, surrounded by mountains, vibrant and savage, silent and surrounding.
During the first lockdown in Italy, this place of memories and experiences gave life to a series of drawings inspired by the colours and reflections of the lake. The drawings pay a personal and familiar homage to the artistic heritage of Lake Como, from the materic works of the celebrated “magistri cumacini” to the neo-futuristic shapes of painters like Mario Radice.
We have then used the geometric drawings to create a series of artworks that can compliment interiors, bringing inside the warm feeling and colours of nature. “Abstraction” is a wool carpet that represents a landscape of lake Como seen through the eyes of local artist and designer Tommaso Spinzi.
