Wall & Deco collection 2024

Layers of life and signs of the time blend in Concreté, originating a tale of organic textures, an ancestral patina created by natural events and human actions, that become an abstract artwork – yet deeply materic and contemporary.

Concreté is a visual exploration inspired by the fascinating decay of ancient palaces and industrial buildings, an appreciation of the inevitable yet fascinating fate that bounds together mansions and productive sites, a decay that is both a final act and a spark for a new beginning: a nod to circularity that is also symbolized by the graphic itself.

With a space age and post-futuristic key MET-ART reinterprets the clear lines typical of Larian rationalism, the artistic and architectural current developed by creative visionaries on the shores of Lake Como almost a century ago. The characteristic geometric shapes of their works become a labyrinth of metallic reflections, in which brilliant cuts of light show the way.
With OX, we explored the dimension we know best in the search for a new and unexpected vision, finding it in sheet metal and patinated copper. Nothing is more tangible, real or material than an oxidised sheet of metal and yet here the warm, bright tones generated by the meeting of metal and heat appear as abstract and playful as a digital painting.
OZ chronicles an intimate and evocative journey of Tommaso Spinzi’s years in Australia. Aboriginal art, fused with Spinzi’s stylistic identity, culminates in a pattern that creates an unexpected dialogue between ancestrality and sophistication. Neutral and organic tones turn textile inspiration into what is almost a material relief of the wall, making OZ an enveloping and at times hypnotic wallpaper.

Wall & Deco collection 2022

Abstraction and OS are two wallpaper graphics designed by Spinzi for the 2022 catalog of italian brand Wall&Decò. The first pages the shapes of the eponymous carpet designed by Spinzi and is inspired in the natural landscapes and rationalist architectures of Lake Como. The second is instead an hommage to the mechanical details of Milanese gates and shop shutters, the so-called “cler“.

Abstraction celebrates Lake Como, the milaneses’ escape from town and a place to reconnect with nature, slow down the pace and contemplate the colours and sounds of the landscapes, the same landscapes that inspired Tommaso Spinzi in the creation of his geometrical artworks during the lockdown of 2020. It’s a fresh and playful wallpaper, with a materic texture created through the pattern of a leaf.
OS is instead an hommage to the buzz of the city and to its past of industrial workers and serial production. An interwoven pattern, reminiscent of pocket squares and ties brings together the two signature elements of Spinzi, the circle and the S, while mimicking the metal details seen on the gates of milanese buildings and on the rolling shutters of downtown shops.
