Description

Gianfranco Frattini was one of the most influential designers of Italy’s mid-century movement. He graduated in architecture at Politecnico di Milano, as a student of Gio Ponti, and worked in his master’s studio before moving on and opening his own practice in Milano. He worked as an architect and – mostly – as a designer, collaborating with both artisans and industries from the Brianza area, north of Milano.

The chair model 101, created for Cassina, is one of his most famous designs. This set of six is in very good conditions and has been professionally restored. The seating has been upholstered with smooth black velvet.
