Murano floor lamp

Description

A rather common sight back in the sixties, chromed metal and Murano glass lamps are now becoming scarcer and scarcer. The present example, preserved in perfect conditions and characterised by its thick, materic light shades in “hammered” glass, with deep orange accents on a clear base, is very scenographic both when switched on and off.

Most likely designed by celebrated architect and glass artist Toni Zuccheri during his time at Venini/VeArt, the lamp closely resembles Zuccheri’s other lighting works, but also vases, sculptures and ashtrays, especially those from the “Patchwork” and “Membrana” collections.

The offered lamp is preserved in original condition. It has minor and expectable signs of wear, with a light, even and pleasant patina to the chrome coating. The glasses have no cracks nor dents and are still shiny. All the fixing screws are present and original. It will be provided with included light bulbs, after a full inspection by a certified electrician.
